Inaccurately, or at least imprecisely, put, Jose. Rove and company have a *qualitatively* different critique of the mainstream/corporate media (and note that you will never see neocons using “corporate” as a negative descriptor for the media, or for anything) than do media reformists and alternative media activists on the left. If one can measure “disregard” quantitatively somehow, the amount of it may be the same, but the *kind* of objection to the media is very different.

Gee, did I touch a nerve? They share the same disregard even if their reasons are different. But this isn’t a philosophical discussion. It’s about politics, not policy. In that context, it’s the results that matter.
